地域活性の活動を通じて2015年にHOSTEL SARUYAを作りました。宿の周辺には空き家が多く点在し、寂れた印象がありますが、クリエイティブな可能性を多く秘めています。街を散策し空き家や空き地が作ったある種の美しさに感化する。宿ではミニマルな日本の新旧の美しさを楽しむ。日本の地域社会での新たな休暇の過ごし方を提案しています。

Local Inspiration
Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt.Fuji. We built this hostel as part of a city-wide effort to reanimate the area. We created a space to allow our guests to experience time and space through art, design and objects, mixing traditional japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.

Facility Information
シャワー、トイレ等の設備は共同でのご利用となります。0時以降はお休みの方もいらっしゃいますのでシャワーのご利用はご遠慮ください。
チェックイン後の門限はございませんが、深夜に外出・入室される方は同室のお客様、また近隣の方々のご迷惑とならないよう、お願いいたします。
Bathrooms are shared, including shower rooms, toilets and vanity.
We do not have a curfew time but encourage guests to be considerate of others at night or early in the morning.
Checkin & Checkout
当ゲストハウスのチェックイン時間は13時～19時半、またチェックアウト時間は10時までとなっております。
チェックイン前、チェックアウト後のお荷物のお預かりが可能です。チェックイン日、チェックアウト日以外の荷物預かりに関しては料金が掛かります。
Check in time is from 1pm to 7pm. Please make sure to arrive before 6:30 pm. Check out
time is by 10am.
We can keep your luggage before Check-in and after Check-out. If you need your luggage to be held for a longer time, we can do so for a small fee.
Kitchen
宿泊者専用のキッチンスペースでは自炊が可能です。冷蔵庫、トースター等の設備と、各種調理器具や調味料が揃っております。また、セルフでお茶やコーヒーもご自由にお飲みいただけます。
Our shared kitchen is equipped with utensils, dishes, cookware as well as seasoning to prepare your meals. A community refrigerator, toaster and rice cooker are also available.
We also offer complimentary coffee and tea.
Library
ライブラリースペースには宿で所蔵している本がある他。コンセントも充実しておりますので個人のパソコンを持ち込む際にご利用下さい。wifiもご利用できます。
We have a library stocked with japanese and english books and magazines on art, design and lifestyle, as well as some comic books. The common area also includes plenty of electrical outlets that allow our guests to use their own devices. Free Wi-Fi is also available to our guests.
Bathroom
ドミトリー、個室とも室内に洗面、トイレ、シャワーの設備がありませんので共用のものをご利用ください。シャワールームにはシャンプーとボディソープが常備してあります。24時間利用が可能ですが、ドライヤーのみ深夜帯の利用を制限させて頂いております。
Our rooms don't include bathrooms. Please use the shared washrooms respective to your given building. The hostel will provide our guests with towels, body wash, shampoo as well as hair dryers. Bathrooms are available 24 hours a day but we limit the use of hair dryers during quiet hours.

Hostel SARUYA Annexのリネンはテンジンファクトリーの麻100%の高級布団カバー、麻100%のタオルを使用しています。テンジンファクトリーは地元富士吉田で布を織り続け約100年。国内最高品質のファブリックでご宿泊の方は使い心地を体感していただけます。
Saruya Hostel collaborates with Tenjin Factory who has made linen products for a 100 years. Saruya uses their 100% linen high quality blanket covers and guests in twin rooms can also enjoy their towels.
Toiletry
Hostel SARUYAではアメニティにこだわり、富士河口湖に工場をかまえる「松山油脂」のBotanicsシリーズのラベンダーのシャンプー、コンディショナーとボディソープをご用意しております。植物性オイルからつくった液体石けんと刺激の少ないアミノ酸系洗浄成分を配合。
Shopコーナーにて販売もしております。
Hostel SARUYA offers lavender shampoos, conditioners and body soaps from Matsuyama Yushi, which has a factory by the nearby Kawaguchi lake. They are formulated with less irritating amino acid-based cleaning ingredients. We also sell them at the Shop corner.

コーヒーと緑茶と地元ブランドMYHERBSのSARUYAオリジナルブレンドのハーブティーをご利用いただけます。MYHERBSは近年活動開始したハーブブランド。富士吉田市内でハーブを生産しブレンドしています。SARUYAオリジナルの商品を店内でも販売しております。
Saruya offers coffee, green tea and herbal tea from local growers “MYHERBS”. MYHERBS is a young company who started growing herbs and producing their blends in the Yamanashi region. We are happy to offer custom blends created by Saruya and MYHERBS.
Breakfast
朝食には地元作家MAYO菓子店のHOSTEL SARUYAオリジナルグラノーラをご用意いたしました。プレーン味と季節の味の2種類ございます。グルテンフリーで乳製品も使っていませんので、体に負担をかけず多くの方に食べていただけるように作りました。
Saruya offers a breakfast option for 450yen.
Our gluten-free granola is home-made locally by Mayo Sweets Shop, it's composed of brown rice, nuts and raisins.
We serve it with soy milk for a dairy free treat!
